Pakistan violates ceasefire again in J&K’s Poonch, four injured
Jammu: Unable to succeeded in its nefarious design of pushing in terrorists from across the Line of Control, Pakistan army in a desperate move violated the ceasefire again in Poonch and Rajouri districts district by targeting Indian positions and civilians areas injuring at least four people.
According to a senior police official, four civilians were injured in Mankote area of Poonch district along the LoC when the Pakistani army resorted to unproved shelling in the area.
He said that the injured included three labourers and a woman in the Mankote area, were shifted to a hospital.
Shelling and firing from across the LoC by the Pakistani Army in Poonch and Rajouri districts started at around 7.30 am, said the police official.
Pakistan army targeted Indian position and civilian areas using mortars, automatics and small arms in 18 villages in Mankote and Balakote areas of Poonch and Manjakote in Rajouri, said the police official.
In this fresh ceasefire violation, some cattle were killed besides damage to two private vehicles and an electric transformer on the Indian side, added the police official.
Responding to unprovoked Pakistan aggression, the Indian positions has been strongly and effectively retaliating.
The firing and shelling exchange across the LoC was still on at all these three places till the last reports came in, said the police official.
