At least 5 terrorists have sneaked into Indian side in J&K’s Samba: BSF

Jammu: A group of five to six terrorists from Pakistan have managed to infiltrate from across the border in Samba sector of Jammu region.

He said that the terrorists had sneaked in using a tunnel

According to a senior police official, at least five to six terrorists have managed to sneak from across the international border in Samba sector. He said that the incident occurred ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Jammu and Kashmir scheduled for May 19.

The development was alsoc confirmed by Border Security Forces (BSF).

BSF Director General KK Sharma, who arrived here on Tuesday, after a jawan was martyred in firing by the Pakistani rangers in Samba district, confirmed that the successful infiltration bid took place on Monday.

He said that the terrorists had sneaked in using a tunnel.

However, a bigger infiltration bid aided by the Pakistani rangers was foiled by the BSF on the international border (IB) on Tuesday, said the BSF chief.

Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to attend several official functions during his day-long visit on Saturday to the state.
