Pakistani troops again violate ceasefire, attack Indian posts in J&K’s Nowshera
Jammu: Pakistan provoked India on Saturday evening yet again when it resorted to unprovoked firing on Indian posts and villages along the Line of Control (LoC) in Nowshera sector of Rajouri district in Jammu and Kashmir.
According to defence spokesman, an unprovoked ceasefire violation by Pakistan army in Nowshera sector’s Jhanger area started on Saturday evening at around 3.45 pm, using 82 mm mortars, automatics and small arms.
He said that the Indian Army has been responding befittingly to the enemy fire.
It may be mentioned here that this is the fifth ceasefire violation by Pakistani troops in the region in this month.
“This could possibly be an attempt to provide cover fire to terrorists trying to infiltrate into our land,”said an official.
Till reports last came in, intermittent firing was on in the area.
