Three LeT terrorists killed in J&K’s Kupwara
Srinagar: Yet again on Wednesday, the security forces succeeded in gunning down three Pakistani Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists in Kupwara district after a fierce encounter that lasted a few hours.
On receiving information about some terrorists hiding in a house in Kalaroos area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, the security forces comprising Army, CRPF and the state police swung into action and laid a cordon around the house where the terrorists were hiding.
An encounter ensued with the terrorists with all exit routes for terrorists to escape sealed in the area.
Initially a policeman was injured and was shifted to a hospital where his condition is stated to be stable.
However, in the fierce encounter that followed, three terrorists from Pakistan were killed but in the cross fire a stray bullet hit a six-year-old girl was succumbed to her bullet injury, said a police official.
He said that three AK-47 rifles were recovered from the possession of the slain terrorists.
