Two Maoist terrorists killed in Chhattisgarh
Sukma (Chhattisgarh): Two Maoist terrorists were killed and a Reserve Police Force (RPF) jawan seriously injured during a shootout in Sukma district of Chhattisgarh, police said on Wednesday.
Sukma Superintendent of Police Abhishek Meena said that an RPF team from Chintagufa police station was on a routine patrol during a downpour on Tuesday evening when Maoists triggered a landmine blast in a forested area near Minpa village, injuring one jawan.
In the ensuing gunfight, Maoists Hukka and Uika were killed and two guns seized from the site. Hukka was said to be a self-styled area commander of the Maoists.
Meena said injured jawan, Hurra, was airlifted to Raipur hospital for treatment.
